Vinous Antonio Galloni - 01 Jan 14
The darkest and most structured of these wines, the 2010 Barolo Le Coste impresses for its balance. In 2010, the Le Coste brings together the explosiveness of the year with great depth, plenty of fruit and firm, classically austere 2010 tannins .Tar, licorice, savory herbs, menthol, smoke and licorice all flesh out on a huge, broad-shouldered frame. A final burst of fruit leaves a lasting impression. I can't wait to see how the 2010 ages.

Barolo Vineyard Fine Wine

Barolo

Barolo, the "King of Wines," is a prestigious red from Piedmont, Italy, made exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes. Known for deep complexity, Barolo offers rich flavours of dark cherries, roses, truffles, and spices, with high acidity and firm tannins. It ages exceptionally well, evolving in depth and nuance. Barolo's diverse terroirs create a range of styles, from powerful to delicate. Top producers include Gaja, Bruno Giacosa, Giuseppe Rinaldi, and Marchesi di Barolo, all of whom exemplify Barolo's tradition and quality.
